He is hitting the ball magnificently. This HAS to be turned into a hundred. No reason not to. He is creaming them.

Haha, this! =D>

It's been great to watch. This is the sort of innings he is capable of. And it shouldn't take 45 innings in the making.

Well done Shane Watson on your highest score.

If I can be critical though, Shane Watson gets the benefit of getting more than his fair share of opportunities. He has been average at best for a large period and still gets picked. ONe thing Watson can't argue about is the selectors giving him time to settle in and work on his test skills.

This innings has probably pencilled Watson in for the next fifteen tests.

Look at Khawaja and Hughes. Probably played every test with an axe over their head, and given none of the same "opportunity" as Watson.

I think Hughes and Khawaja could both be 60-70 test players if given the chance to settle in.

Australian cricket has always been a case of jobs for the boys.

Utter shit.
I was there in April a few years ago - APRIL, middle of f****** spring - and there was sleet at Sunderland. I stood in the stands at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland a froze my arse off. It was shit. And we lost.

Was Watson out on a no ball? I went to bed when he got to 150, but I think I saw a replay last night suggesting he was.
Well done on finally getting another hundred - a big one at that - but it's kind of hollow given that the series is already over. No excuses back here. Also the first century for us at number 3 since Shaun Marsh on debut. #-o

Also well done Smith. =D>
When he got back in for this series a mate of mine pointed out that when he first got picked it was silly because there were other, better options, but this time there were no others. But he's looked pretty good throughout the series.

England now 1/68 (Cook out caught behind to Harris). Haddin is now I think 2 dismissals away from an Ashes record. Not bad for someone who before this series has never been particularly good.

Well done James Faulkner - a handy 23 with the bat and 4-51 with the ball on debut =D>
