5th ODI;
AUS 9/217 off 50 overs (G. Bailey 56, S. Broad 3-31, B. Stokes 3-43) defeated ENG 212 off 49.4 overs (J. Root 55, N. Coulter-Nile 3-34, C. McKay 3-36, J. Faulkner 2-37)
Good win in the end with some tight bowling - and a stunningly lucky stumping of Bopara that turned the game. You don't have to to be dead to be stiff.....

What a finish!
I bet on two matches in the series - Faulkner saved my money both times.

1st T20;
AUS 4/213 off 20 overs (C. White 75, A. Finch 52, C. Lynn 33*) defeated ENG 9/200 off 20 overs (R. Bopara 65*, J. Root 32, N. Coulter-Nile 4-30, M. Henriques 2-36)
Can't believe how these f****** can hit reverse sweeps / switch hits for six. Blows my mind.

Re: Ashes 2013/14
Have really liked the look of James Muirhead in these two T20 games.
Can rip a big leggie, gets the ball to drift in and then rip away and he is not afraid to throw it up. Very impressed. No wonder the selectors wanted to give him a taste of International cricket; has not looked at all overawed.

Indeed. I saw a little of last night's game and he was impressive. I particularly liked that he mostly bowled "normally" and not quick and flat for the short format.ealesy wrote:Have really liked the look of James Muirhead in these two T20 games.

My brother said he sucked in Hobart. He was pissed though.

Re: Ashes 2013/14
In Starc contrast to Clarke busting his shoulder and batting on in SA, turns out Trott was simply "burnt out" at the start of the Ashes series and simply quit. And used some pretty stupid words when denying being depressed. And Vaughn and Hoggard are not at all impressed with his walkout or his choice of words.
