19 games played,SOUTH SYDNEY 2nd on the NRL Ladder after winning the last 3,the last of which we Spanked Newcastle 50 - 10 in Cairns.

We play the Mob who knocked us off in the Horror Movie, that was the Preliminary Final,Manly. They've already knocked us off this season and are 2 games clear on Top.They are supposedly at War with each other, but that hasn't stopped their playing group from Unifying into an even more formidable power, than they already are.

They supposedly won't have GLEN STEWART,who funnily enough, will play for us next year. That won't make them any less dangerous, because he's the one the Sea Eagles players are playing for, despite his Defection. They blame the supposedly Fractured Board for that.

Time to see what Roy(Masters)thinks of all this.

Haven't looked up Roy.Have heard more about Mike Carlton this week, but that's for another thread.

Knocking off Manly. No better feeling in League.Coughed up the early try at the SCG and then Waltzed past the Bastards 23 - 4.1 game off Top Spot, but focusing on our next few games before the Finals, should be the main priority.

Still great to see.

Preliminary Final Stage,3rd Year Running. This time against Reigning Premiers, Eastern Suburbs Roosters.

Gotta get the Job done this time boys,as twice is enough for a Bad Dose of Preliminaritis, similar to our bad case of Eliminitis,in the 70's and 80's.

With John Sutton retiring,Sam Burgess and Isaac Luke headed for England next year, our Premiership window may well close this year, despite Glenn Stewart's handy addition to next Year's playing list.

MUST WIN,NO EXCUSES CUT THROAT GAME!

CAAAARRRN THE MIGHTY BUNNIES!

Job done,in the Grand Final, with 1 Job to do.

Win the Grand Final and Canterbury-Bankstown are not there to stand on ceremony and please everyone else. They'll be there to Win it themselves and do it anyway possible.Memories of their Win over Balmain in '88,come flooding back, with Terry Lamb's Calculated Hit on the Tiger's playmaker Ellery Hanley, pleasing nobody but the Doggies Faithfull.

They won't be doing anyone any favors and it wouldn't bother them to be Public Enemy Number 1,whether or not it gets the NRL Premiership. So on your Guard Bunnies.Could be a Tougher Assignment if Isaac Luke gets done for his Tackle on Sonny Bill Williams. [-X

But the Doggies are most likely to be without their Captain,Michael Ennis who has a Fractured Foot.Des Hasler is giving him every chance to recover, but is 8 days enough?

5:30PM Kick-Off,2:30 our way.Just perfect!

Well,I had to wait an Hour or so longer, but it was well worth the wait.

So much to say,for now though,All the best for All South Sydney Supporters, especially those who Stuck firm with the Club in our Darkest days in 1999,when News Limited,so much responsible for the Mess it created, with it's Farcical Super League Circus, disgracefully Conspired with the NRL to Kick one of Australia's Most Famous Sporting Clubs, out of Rugby League's Elite.

For 2 years,I didn't have a Club in the NRL.I still had a club to support,if not much financially, but from afar,as it wasn't taking defeat lightly, even after 1 Failed Court challenge,a series of Exhibition matches including The Charity Shield against Old Rivals,ST George, kept us going.

Then the Court Win,that Reinstated us,began another journey, delivering some inevitable Tough Times,in-house bickering, the self imposed Exile of a Favourite Son and Club Legend, after a couple of White Knights, came into town,a couple of Heartbreaking Preliminary Final Losses,.......Then after a 43 Year drought,...make it 41 in reality,....

SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS ARE
PREMIERS

The Likes of Russell Crowe,Peter Holmes a Court(an old class mate of mine until he went to Geelong Grammar in'78),Andrew Denton,Ray Martin,Alan Jones,Don Lane,a Host of South's Legends,Coach Michael Maguire, the players, including John Sutton,GI,Adam Reynolds, the Burgess Boys,Lote,Dave Tyrell, made this Ultimate Triumph Possible,...

But GEORGE PIGGINS!This one's For You,SOUTH SYDNEY LEGEND!You've made this all possible George and Thank-You!And at the risk of sounding like A Certain Aussie Rules person from 2004,.....

News Limited and NRL,.......

YOU WERE WRONG!

P.S. - Another drought was broken. Finally,on of our own Win the Coveted Medal Of The Little Master,Clive Churchill!

Well done Sam Burgess,thank-you and good luck for the future!

George,I have thanked you for your Efforts in 1999 and 2000.I should have thanked Nick Pappas as well, sorry Nick.

But George, please.Put away your Pride from 8 years back and go and shake Russell Crowe's hand. And tell those Sanctimonious Slimeballs at News Limited to f*** Off!
