Finch almost makes a triple century, before the match was abandoned.

Tour Match

CAXI 1/503 dec (A. Finch 288*, R, Carters 209) v New Zealanders

What a phenomenal effort by these two. Still laughing at the fact that Finch couldn't get a State game but does this against a touring team...

And fancy abandoning the match because the pitch was too dangerous with a scoreboard reading 1/503 declared

"You wouldn't walk your Dog on it!"

So said Bill Lawry when the MCG Wicket was a Shocker in the Summer of '81.

This looks far worse, than The G,when it was a Shocker. And you should not be staging a Tour Match against an International side on a Suburban Mudheap. Why wasn't this game played at the SCG?

Absolutely bizarre effort from the Kiwis. I suspect more to do with danger to morale than to players.

Heard on Radio Ben,the Kiwis pulled their best bowlers, rather than risk injury on that deck.

I don't us Thrashing the Kiwis(I even baraackedfor John Howard's PM XI's against all opposition)but not under these circumstances.Cricket Australia needs yet another kick up the arse.Justlike the AFL Commission.

Ben,please!

It was a good score on a Shitheap, with a lot of 'fooking doughnuts bowled by part timers.

If you want to believe. That Dump is a good Wicket, that's your business.

I believe that pitch was a Pile of Shit and then some.

You're saying it was worse than the MCG in the early 80's when it produced totals less than 200?

Then you dismiss this total because part timers were bowling?

That's NZ's problem. WTF are they bowling part timers for?

You cannot deny 500 runs were scored without any distress.

Cricketers today are becoming so precious that they expect pitches to be concrete slabs for the entire match. GAGF!

They pulled their best bowlers to avoid the risk of injury mate.
Can you blame them?

I don't like Roads or concret blocks, but surely no pitch should dished up like that Shitheap under any circumstance?
