3rd Test;

SAf 9/259 dec (F. du Plessis 118*, S. Cook 40, J. Hazlewood 4-68, J. Bird 2-57, M. Starc 2-78) v AUS 6/307 (U. Khawaja 138*, S. Smith 57, P. Handscomb 54, K. Abbott 3-38)

What a magnificent innings by Uzzie Khawaja. Can't believe how the selectors treat this bloke sometimes. He's a gun bat.

Well done to Pete Handscomb on a debut half century =D> Liked the way he used his feet to the spinners.

Reckon FAF out thought himself on that so called "brave"early declaration.

Might have had Warner back in the pavilion on the 1st night,with a few more to follow before Stumps.Why wouldn't want you a crack at him,knowing he was every chance to provide you the breakthrough himself.

Instead,you faced 2 Batsmen who put a higher price on their wickets and enabled the opposition to slip through your grip.Despite the early breakthroughs on Day 2,the opposition's mindset was completely different to what you expected and now,you are on the back foot,instead of being in Total Command.

You got the early wickets on Day 2,but if you had done that,the 1st night,with Warner gone,you might have landed the early psychological killer blow earlier,instead of facing an opposition with it's tail up and and now,an unexpected Deficit!

Yep,you really thought that one through,eh FAF! :twisted: :lol:

Actually, I disagree with you grassy.
Given how we have done so far, they were 9 down with that awkward 12 overs before close, it was a good decision.
Might not have panned out as hoped, but still a good decision...

Yep, it was the smart decision. If nothing else, it upset the team. Khawaja was annoyed. Warner was pissed off. But they were caught with their pants down. Fancy not knowing the possibility of not being able to bat if you're off the field for a period of time...

We weren't the expected 3 or 4 Wickets down South Africa may have planned to have us.

I reckon it was a good thing Warner was made to wait.He would have gone the Slash for sure.A great example the So called Vice Captain would have set the new chums!

Nah!FAF was being a Smart Arse and getting too cocky with his Up Your's Aussies Century,so I'm glad it blew up in his face,so far.

If we can grind out another 100,for once,we are a genuine chance to Win and send the Ball Tamperer packing! :twisted:

Aren't test matches great when the bowlers actually have a chance?

Fantastic. And you really appreciate a batsman getting a hundred when he's had to work his arse off to get it.
