Australia v South Africa Test Series
Re: Australia v South Africa Test Series
Wow that was really bad.
If there was no rain it would have been over in less than 2 days.
People already comparing it to the 86 side against NZ, but at least then they were playing younger players.

'86 team was depleted due to Rebel Tour defectors. Now we just have defecators.BERT wrote:Wow that was really bad.

We should pick 11 different players for the third Test. Who's with me?

I'd have no problem with Harris and White getting call ups.

Re: Australia v South Africa Test Series
The good thing about the test finishing so quickly is that our players will be well rested for the next "test"
And I don't have to watch any more of that drivel

I think they are being made to play in the shield matches this weekend.Crazyman wrote:The good thing about the test finishing so quickly is that our players will be well rested for the next "test"

All 'test' players are playing shield this week, to try and find some sort of form I should think.BERT wrote:I think they are being made to play in the shield matches this weekend.Crazyman wrote:The good thing about the test finishing so quickly is that our players will be well rested for the next "test"

I might be tempted to rest Starc (our best bowler by a country mile) and maybe Hazlewood too, as they are too important to the team and have long summers ahead of them.

2nd Test;
AUS 85 (S. Smith 48*, V. Philander 5-21, K. Abbott 3-41) & 2/161 (U. Khawaja 64, D. Warner 45, K. Abbott 6-77, K. Rabada 4-34) v SAf 326 (Q. de Kock 104, T. Bavuma 74, H. Amla 47, J. Hazlewood 6-89, M. Starc 3-79)
After 2 tests, 3 Marsh's are gone...

Not sure about Maddinson, but the rest of the changes are good selections.
