Australia v South Africa Test Series

Post by BenDoolan » Thu Nov 03, 2016 9:27 am

Love the Perth test. Reckon we'll get pummelled by the Saffas though...

Team: David Warner, Shaun Marsh, Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith, Adam Voges, Mitchell Marsh, Peter Nevill, Mitchell Starc, Peter Siddle, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon

I'm pinning all of our hopes on Mr. Reliable, Shaun Marsh.

No AB deVilliers helps us enormously, but is Starc ok to go? Should be interesting. Hopefully the pitch is fair - not too much of a feather bed (like the NZ series) but also not a 2-dayer.

Also - would have liked to see Mennie get a go - but experience prevails in P.Siddle.

4/36.

Might be a two-dayer.

Don't underestimate Faf du Plessis. The muppet probably averages 30 against every test nation except for us - where he probably averages 80.

Don't celebrate too early...

Saffer's aren't the same team as previous tours, but they have history of making comebacks and particularly against Aussies in Australia the last decade or so...

Go Mitch!
And apparently Mennie was left out because he can't bat.

Time to give him a rest. Give Handscomb a crack at 6.

But I bet you they drop Khawaja and keep Mitch

Ring-a-ring-a-Rosie,

A line-up full of Aussies,

Some pressure, a wicket,

They all fall down.
