Reckon I would have enforced the follow on myself.

What stopped Smith from doing so?

Management of our Fast Bowlers?

Cricket Australia begging(or dictating)to Lehman and Smith to extend the Test to 5 Days?

The Ghost of Headingly stil gnawing away at the back of our psyche?

We Won in the end,but I reckon we Dodged not just a Bullet, but a Cannonball, potentially sending Morale to a Dangerous Low.

Instead,it's England in this position, with more Bar Room hijinks and looking down the barrel of coughing up The Ashes, possibly 5 - 0.

There is speculation that the WACA will be a road, promoting Mitchell Starc to take aim sat the Curator and provide a Faster, better Wicket for bowlers.

Wrong target Pal!But in Faurness,we know you're not in a position to make the same demands of your Bosses at Cricket Australia, who would prefer to keep the series alive through the MCG and SCG Tests.

Test match in Perth is Sold Out for the 1st 3 days I believe,so it will be difficult for Your's Truly to attend.Don't know about Days 4 and 5.

Tony,what do you know?

Closest I might get Tony,is watching Training in the Street behind the Northern End Nets, opposite Gloucester Park.

Entry to inside the ground is not possible,I was told.Lucky the Jiffy Van doesn't come to the WACA anymore.Sorry Pal!No Entry today!

I still remember Steve Waygh giving me a "Do you mind?!'chirp, when he heard me quietly chatting to the 2 guys I took to the WACA that day.

If they weren't Wheelchair Bound,do you reckon Mr Mental Disintegrator may have bit me head off? :o

3rd Test;

ENG 4/305 (D. Malan 110*, J. Bairstow 75*, M. Stoneman 56, M. Starc 2-79) v AUS

Awesome that we dropped a batsman to bring in an all-rounder that provides a 5th bowling option. Shame the guy can’t bowl. Or catch. FMD. Handscomb would have caught that ball with a f****** blindfold on and one hand tied behind his back.

It looks a pretty good wicket to bat on. Dropped catches will come back to bite them. If they get 2 quick ones this morning England could be all out for under 400 and it swings the game back Australias way. Need Warner and Smith to get bulk runs though.

Well ... on 3LO yesterday, the WA coach said that the Australian team would benefit from Marsh's leadership.

If they were just telling the truth, the Australian team is a closed shop and they prefer to have a mate in rather than stick with a developing player.

Justin Langer is full of shit. Love the bloke, but he is a massive advocate for playing “favourites”. There is no doubt that he has a huge influence on our national selectors. The love for all things Marsh is the obvious example of this.

Probably not, but credit where it’s due. Has been chanceless, flawless and simply brilliant innings on a road against weak bowling...

But England can go home. What a gutless team.

Or perhaps they've got a touch of the benevolent bombers? Turning mediocre players into permant fixtures?

Happy for him, but Handscomb would have loved to bat on that. And Maybe Maxwell would be 200 not out as well.

He is the better Marsh though.

Australia Regains The Ashes!

You Bewdy! 8)

The Worst Australian press
are Bangin' on about how Mitch Marsh
has Silenced the Critics.

Standard Bloody Cliche for a Rare Super Effort.

To keep the critics at Bay,Mr Marsh has to keep reproducing such good Cricket, otherwise he'll cop the Criticism,Fsir and Squsre, though not from the One Eyed Idiots in the WA Media.

I'll leave the Details to you,Ben.

But Australia finish Boxing Day on 3 - 244,with Smith and S.Marsh(perilously close to a GOLDEN DUCK!),the not out batsmen.

Obvious talking point was Warner's reprieve on 99,playing a weird shot to get himself out, only to find England Debutant Curran had overstepped the mark.

It allowed Warner to post his 21st Century and 1st Boxing Day Test Century against England at the MCG.Good reprieve that,if your next Boxing Day Test Innings against the Old Enemy is 4 years away.

He scratched around for a few more runs, before nicking one from Anderson to Bairstow.

Haven't agreed a lot with Warney in recent years, but he was spot on about Kwaja dragging his chains and holding Warner back.

If it was me,Usman would be skating on thin ice,but I daresay the selectors might think otherwise.

Boys need to press on towards a Total of over 600 on this pitch.A Road many say,but the thing that makes me laugh, out of all the criticism the current pitch and curator receives,is how it was all those years ago.

"You wouldn't walk your Dog on it!"

4th Test (Boxing Day),

AUS 3/244 (D. Warner 103, S. Smith 65*) v ENG

Obviously Santa was still giving out gifts today with Warner getting the best present of all. What a f****** disaster that was all around - horrid shot to get out, horrid fact that Curran over stepped the crease. Imagine Curran’s dismay. Probably was already thinking “one day I’ll tell my kids my first test wicket was David Warner for 99”.

Santa was umpiring when Marsh faced his first ball. Looked out, didn’t raise the finger. If he’d given it, he was gonski on review.
