2019 Cricket World Cup in England

Post by BenDoolan » Wed Apr 17, 2019 1:24 pm

Australian Squad:

Aaron Finch (c), Jason Behrendorff, Alex Carey, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Jhye Richardson, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, David Warner, Adam Zampa.

Would rather Peter Handscomb than Shaun Marsh (well there’s a surprise for all). But IMO, Handscomb has performed better than him with the bat recently, is a better fielder, and can double up as a back up keeper.

If they pick Marsh ahead of Khawaja in the actual team, I’ll go ape shit.

Cottrell’s catch was a good ‘un,but I shook my fist in delight when Maxi took his catch. We were pretty much home!

I noticed the Poms are still arking up at us about the ball tamperers! We’ve dealt with that with our own outrage you Idiots!

Move on!

Match 3

IND 5/352 off 50 overs (S. Dhawan 117, V. Kohli 82, R. Sharma 57, H. Pandya 48, M. Stoinis 2-62) defeated AUS 316 off 50 overs (S. Smith 69, D. Warner 56, A. Carey 55*, U. Khawaja 42, B. Kumar 3-50, J. Bumrah 3-61, Y. Challenging 2-62)

Jeez we bowled some absolute f****** tripe. Short shit a la Brett Lee at his idiotic worst. Pitch the f****** thing up and bowl more yorkers ffs

I know he made 56, but that was one of the worst ODI innings I’ve ever witnessed. Slow as f***. Kept belting the ball straight to fieldsmen. Painful to watch.

Yeah, plenty of stuff last nightnot to like and plenty of work to do to improve it.

India can have their song and dance now if they want. But should they FAIL to qualify for The World Cup Final, the humiliation would be massive for them. The expectations are greater on their part, not our’s! 8)

Bit of a trainwreck in the end.
4/242 after 37 overs.

At least we have an early wicket.
