Not many people care but the small minority who do here are a few of the first round scores:

Men

Winners:

Federer def. Russell 6-4, 6-2 6-4
Nadal def. Del Potro 7-5, 6-3, 6-3
Hewitt def. Mirnyi 6-3, 6-1, 6-3

Losers:

Andreev def. Roddick 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4
Economidis def Guccione 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-1
Bjorkman def Luczack 6-7, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3, 6-1

Womens

Winners:

Jankovic def. Foretz 6-2, 6-2
Vaidisova def. Gagliardi 6-4, 6-3
Dementieva def. Kerber 6-3, 6-2

Losers

Tanasurgan def. Dellacqua 6-3, 4-6, 6-4
Peschke def. Petrova 7-5, 5-7, 6-0
Johannson def. Groenofeld 7-5, 6-4

Hewitt was pretty comprehensive overnight and has had good form in the lead up into the tournament. Could be a dark horse. He faces Nadal in the fourth round if he makes it and he played extremely well against him a fortnight ago in Hamburg. Other aussies are no hope in my eyes.

Tips:

Mens-Nadal
Womens-Henin

Hope Hewitt looses 6-0 6-0 6-0 6-1.

Hate Hewitt with a passion.

Go Federer.

As long as Hingis and Hewitt get beaten soon, all's good.

Hingis is not playing at Roland Garros this year.

Federer- Nadal final in the men's which will be 50-50 as Federer finally beat Nadal on clay two weeks ago.

Henin will win the women's and will have Serena Williams as a big challenger.

Hewitt next faces Jarkko Niemenen from Finland. Then if he wins he will play Nadal. He has the capabilities of beating Nadal but needs to hold his dominance for three sets. He had a lapse a fortnight ago that cost him in the end.

Stosur to play Vaidisova in the 3rd round. Interesting clash but you'd think Vaidisova comfortably but I'm sure Sam will give it a good go.

Hewitt took control right from the start of the 3rd set.
