Asian Football Championship

Well Australia down 1-0 to Oman in the 85th minute.

Absolutely f****** pathetic. Viduka should have backed his judgment and retired before the cup. Has done nothing at all for Australia, sitck to playing in England.

Graham Arnold will be sacked at the end of the tournament and rightly so. Playing Wilskshie at all is poor, the guy is a hack and just plain useless. Emerton loves to run forward, but refuses to help out in defence. No surprise the goal was scored coming down his side of the field.

While Arnold was saying that they wouldnt take anybody lightly, it is clear they did. Got exactly what they deserved!!!!!!!!!!

Cahill scored the equalisor in the 92nd minute. Got out of jail, big time.

Ironic too as whenever an oman player got a slight touch, they full on rolled around and cried. Stretcher was called out 6 times, no less.

Still a pathetic performance, gotta make some changes before the next match. Leave Emerton on a wing, dont play him at right back, he is shit there.

Wilkshire is shit everywhere.

Sterjovski should only be used as a sub, either start Cahill or Aloisi.

That looked like a very tired performance .. looked like we got all geared up to conserve energy and went all conservative...

As usual we got done on the counter attack.. something terrible.. that South American coach had Oman playing typical Argentina, Uruguay style.. and we have always been really suspect with that.

I agree with you guys.. I'm not a big fan of Sterjovski but I still like Cahill off the bench. It would be great to play Aloisi and Dukes up forward with Kewell outside left and Cahill in the middle.

Bresciano has great skills but is too slow to break down a defence .. we really need him working with Cahill.

No it's not it's a draw.

We get a point and it leaves us equal with everyone else in our group.

It's hardly detrimental to our campaign - in the end it's probably going to be more beneficial.

It may be beneficial, but if the coaching staff dont pull their fingers out of their arse then we may be home very quickly.
Wilkshire is a disgrace. Did I miss something, did Chipperfield retire from international football?

Kisnorbo is ordinary and Emerton is nothing but a flashy try hard. Thinks he is Brazlian but lacks skill and class. He plays right back, yet cant seem to defend.

If it wasnt for Schwarzer, we would have lost.

Need to beat Thailand by at least 2-0. Anything less and we are stuffed.

Somebody get Guus on the phone.

Get the feeling that coach and players are not on the same page.

Arnold comes out and says that some of the players just dont want to be there then Duks follows up saying that it is not true not looking at all pleased with it all.

Needless to say that coach will go before the players...

No enthusiasm.

In the WC, Aloisi looked like he was interested.

In lead up games Archie had some idea.

This team is insipid as warm pasta; not commited, playing down the line with no respest to the competition.

Deserve to be knocked out.

BTW, not Grahams fault, more the pissweak FFA for being soft with training.

too many "prima donnas"

several players NOT happy with Arnold talking Viduka out of retirement as they wanted the armband. Neill getting sent off for chirping to the ref when already on a yellow is disgraceful and may inhibit his future leadership ambitions. Kewell simply lazy and not defending when we don't have the ball.

and Arnolds tactics to simply throw on more strikers tp try and win the game. ... simply put in long balls to a congested box...it's gets cleared away and then we get hit on the counter

at least it will all be over after tonight.

You can almost hear what is going on in Arnold's head

Strikers = Shots on goal = Goals = Wins = Asian Cup = FFA Contract = One happy coach.
