Socceroos v Argentina

Post by hillchaser »

Looking forward to heading to the G on Tuesday. Actually glad that our team has a different look. Viduka and Kewell won't be around for ever and Argentina always get their juniors playing as young as possible.

Anyine else going ? Anyone actually give us a chance of winning or even scoring ?

I don't think it's such a bad thing,

The quicker we can make the Socceroos an "A-league" team, the better chance we will have at the Olympics, Asian Cup and the World Cup.

Sprinkle it with a bit of EPL/European talent if they must, but the days of the bulk of the team flying in from abroad have to be over if we can be seen as a serious threat in any competition.

Obviously Argentina should win and I would still expect them to win even if Australia had a full squad.
