NBA Season 07/08

Post by Essendon4eva »

The new NBA season starts today with San Antonio opening things up against Portland without Greg Oden who did his knee before the pre-season.
Houston is at L.A. Will Kobe play? Can't wait to see how Yao goes playing in the high post most and how Ric Aldeman utilise Francis, James, Alston and Head.
And Utah are playing at Golden State. Can Golden State continue to improve after last season? Can Dreon Williams have another improved season at Point Guard?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is going to be another great season for the NBA. Can't wait.

Interested to see how Ricky Davis does in Miami. Not just on the court but off the court aswell. Look for D-Wade and Shaq to pull, him into line.

He will be lucky to play 60 games. He is no where near the force he was in the 90's, but with his size, he is still valuable. Miami will nurse him into March, so he is healthy for the play-offs.

Yup. 30 teams, 82 games a season plus play-offs. Popular all arond the world.

Shaq, I would say has two years left including this one.

Can still be dominant on his day ol' Shaq, but is a mere shell of the unstoppable force he was, especially in the early '00's. Still a top 3 centre, but that's more of an indication of the lack of quality 5's ATM...

Go Sonics. Been down since the mid 90's with GP leading the charge and the Reignman jamming down people's throats. Will be a looooong season tho, but keen to see how Durant goes.

Kemp was f****** awesome. Then left Seattle and it all fell apart. But with GP throwing alleys and Kemp soaring, they were bloody entertaining to watch. An athletic freak, 6'10" and could jump like VC.

so many memories....

Well those days may be long gone, but Kevin Durant is a good start to climbing back into the play-offs. Realy need Robert Swift to take a big step up though.

Traded to Cleveland in a 3-way in which the sonics got Vin Baker from Milwaukee. Had a couple of good years in Cleveland before moving to Portland, where (alleged) substance abuse problems got the better of him.

The Sonics need a big man, any big man, to step up. But losing Ray-Ray and Lewis is too big to cover.

It is not like they lost those guys. They traded Ray Allen to get Jeff Green with the number 5 pick. SO they made a decision to re-build, because they new the list around Lewis and Allen wouldn't get a championship.

Kobe starts off with 45 points, Lakers lost to Rockets.

Did anybody see the most bizarre basket possibly in the history of basketball? Rockets turned the ball over, two Lakers fumbled the ball and one ended up tipping it into the net.

Its hard to explain, ill try and find it on youtube.
