Trade Dealings with Port
If:
We trade pick #2 for Steve Salopek and pick #5.
We pick up Mitch Thorpe or Jack Reiwoldt with pick #5.
We retain picks #18 and #20.
Then:
We still have a top quality KPP prospect from this draft.
We have a 21 year old former #6 pick who hit his straps this year (injury prevented him from having an impact in his first few seasons) and would fit nicely into our midfield.
We still have picks #18 and #20 plus the #2 PSD pick.
I can't see why we wouldn't go for it.

Would have to think very very carefully about this.
In my view if Carlton takes Gibbs, this would be the right move. We could still get one of Hansen/Gumbleton/Thorpe/Leunbeurger, who are all considered good enough to have gone #1 in previous drafts.
However, I think our midfield really really needs a gun in there, so if Carlton is going to go tall, I'd feel less kindly about this trade.
I suppose it depends on what you think Salopek will become. I haven't seen much of him, so I'm not sure.
