A trade with BrisVegas

Post by gringo »

I've heard that Essendon and Brisbane are looking at trading Joel Reynolds for Jonno Brown. On balance, I reckon this could be a really good trade for Essendon. Apparently Leigh Matthews is a massive fan of Reynolds and secretly reckons that Brown is too unskilled and doesn't take enough marks to warrant his place at Brisbane.

I reckon that sometimes Reynolds skills let him down under pressure, particularly in front of goal, and he doesn't seem to be able to influence a game like Brown can. I know they have both had some terrible luck with injuries, but Reynolds wasn't able to cement a place in our team this year and was relatively injury free. It's a tough one (obviously Reynolds has tremendous pedigree) but I think we should go for Browne.

I love trading time so much. That's the funniest one I've heard so far. Well done.

I think they would have to throw in Simon Black to make this deal more equitable.

I just feel that there is a confidence issue with Brown. He could be a really great player if he backed himself in. He also has a few injury issues but our vaunted fitness department led by the highly sought after John Quinn would have him playing 22 games in no time. He could probably also use some forward line coaching from the master, Dean Wallis.

Reynolds will be a big loss but I think it might just be worth it.

I'm not too sure we can let this happen.

Joel Reynolds has the skill there, and i know that he will be ten times the player of Jonothan Brown. He just needs to get a bit of bulk and he should be fine. Reynolds does let himself down a bit, but there is potential.

Brown is overrated and isnt that good. I would rather Reynolds any day of the week.

Brown is a million times the player Reynolds will ever be.

Sorry but Reynolds hasn't really shown me anything to indicate he's something special. From what I've seen he's all hype.

I think we are getting the rough end of the stick on that deal. Surely we can throw Judd and Kerr in there somewhere for our 5th round pick.

Even though Brown has been around for a few years, he is still only 23! he would still have a good 10 years in him. But let's face it, joel isn't going to go anywhere in this competition
