Solomon gone

For all things non Essendon related, tell us how much you hate the Blues, Pies, etc.

On another note, Byron Schammer must be relieved. He now has only the 2nd worst foot skills at his club.

Yeah, we lose the most undisciplined player at the club who hasnt got the skills for the AFL any longer.

Should really hang our heads in shame.

Depends on who you actually get with the picks but would have liked to have seen a lower number in there somewhere.

I'll take that
will we have space on our list to even pick 6?

gone: rioli,rama,solomon
going? bolton,reynolds,henneman?

plus we will probably look hard at notting if he goes into the PSD......
Yep, that a pretty fair chance...although Bolts may survive. Carts should be looking over his shoulder though

Steady on there old sport. Drafts are notorisouly risky - the "dream draft" of Judd, Ball etc produced Polak at number 4. We've taken Bolton at 4 also, Kepler at 6... We've let go a consistent and premiership player in Solomon for some very low drafts that in some years, clubs wouldn't even bother to use.

We've got a heap of young players at the club at the moment, and need some tough older heads to show them the ropes. Having Solomon down back, although he hasn't had the best year, made players walk taller around him.

How may of you giys rate Henry Slattery????

Pretty good young prospect???

Well he was taken at pick 42 from memory.

I think 2 Henry Slatterys would be perfect compensation for Solly

Its not the best deal in the world. But ill take it.

A high likelyhood that Shaw and Harvey could get the best out of Solly, but I don't really mind.

Lets take the picks and see how we go.

Some very hard calls need to be made on some other players now. Bolton, Henneman, Reynolds.....

Good, 2 x 3rd round picks will do. Give Nash a go.

I will NOT be bagging Dean Solomon just because he's left the club BUT are you serious? Consistent? There's no such thing as consistency without discipline.

Oh yeah, Nash getting a go is a big positive. Anyone who can execute the fundamental skill of the game (kicking) as well as Nash can clearly has a place in any team.

Nash is also much better than Cole.

Doubt it. Dyson was taken at 44 though, I think your referring to him.

Hope people are going to enjoy sitting on the bottom of the ladder for 4 more years.

With a team that cant compete physically, with anyone.

The softcock team re-emerges.

ROFL. Solly consistent? Your best work yet. Thought of a career in comedy? Oh, and the good old chestnut, "Premiership Player". Hills, Olarenshaw, Calthorpe, Heffernan, Blumfield. Premiership players all of them. I wouldnt be so harsh on you if you ever made a decent argument, but you just talk shit.

I reckon Slattery could be ok. So does the club as they signed him for 2 years.
