Tried to figure out what would turn me on most in tonight's game - humiliation for the Pies or a loss on the siren for Scott.
Thought Geelong was lumbering at times, but did the job in the end. Pies didn't impress, were scrappy at times and looked in a state of shock at the siren. May I see the same thing repeated many times this season.
Was a weird sort of game.
Cats didn't seem to have a game plan for Forward 50, and Pies pretty much the same.
It seemed like it was all about just defend, get it forward, and hope chaos works. Which has pretty much been Tiges plan for the last 2 years!
Ultimately, I think it came down to the Cats defended better across the whole ground.
Don't like either team, but in the end I think I was "happy" the Cats won. Lesser of two evils.
