Yes it was played on three separate Saturday's in 1858 and it finished with finished with one goal each. In 1859 they continued the match and Scotch scored it's 2nd goal and was declared the winner.Rossoneri wrote:3 weeks?

Your question Rosso.
Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
In 2001, we had the greatest comeback of all. Whose record did we beat and what did the losing teams coach liken his players heads to?

Timmy Watson was the coach of St Kilda in 1999 (and I believe Ken Judge was the Hawks coach), not sure how he described the players though.
Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
Yep, you are both right. Robs turn to ask a question. If someone does get the second part right they can have my next turn.

Going back to my previous question (Answer was Allen Jackovich), who broke Jackovich's record and who also equalled (both were done in the same game)?

Sorry I googled
Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
Shouldn't google. Only when a question hasn't been answered for a couple of days can we google (in essence give up) Having said that, I doubt you are the only one who has googled an answer before, but you are the only one who has owned up to itbomberdonnie wrote:Plugger broke it with 9 and Billy Brownless equalled it with 8Rossoneri wrote:Going back to my previous question (Answer was Allen Jackovich), who broke Jackovich's record and who also equalled (both were done in the same game)?

Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
Trick question as far as I can tell.
We've only ever had two selections in the top 3 of the National Draft.
Being Chris Heffernan, the number 2 selection in 1996 National Draft and Scott Gumbleton, being the number 2 selection in the 2006 National Draft.
We've had Scott Lucas (4th pick), Mark Bolton (4th pick), Daniel McAllister (shudder 5th pick), Michael Hurley (5th pick), David Myers (6th pick) Kepler Bradley (6th pick), Mark McVeigh (8th pick) but cannot for the life of me think of anyone else we've taken in the top 3.
Unless it was way back when the draft first started in the late 80s, but I still don't think we had any top 3 picks back then either.

Michael Prior was a number three pick in the early nineties.
