Bombertalk Footy Quiz
Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
I was a promising young wingman/rover from Tasmania but was dogged by injuries during my three years at Essendon between 1988 and 1990. Due to injury, I managed only three games for five goals. Who am I?
Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
Correct.

During the 1983 Finals Series, which player was suspended for 1 week for threatening to "take care" umpire Kevin Smith behind the stands?

Sounds like something our beloved "rotten" Ronnie Andrews would do

Yep, and it umtimately cost him a spot in the Grand Final that year.swoodley wrote:Sounds like something our beloved "rotten" Ronnie Andrews would do

Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
Filthy had a sewn-on badge on his reconditioned Bluey that his estranged father gave him - which player was on that badge?

Surely the irony of constantly harping on about someone else constantly harping on isn't lost on you?!?!?!?
Any danger of changing the record?!?!?!?
Not sure what's happened on this blog since I've been in absentia, but the last month or so worth of posts makes for depressing reading indeed.

Like sand through the hour glass, so are the days at the Essendon Football Club.

Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
Who am I? I joined Essendon in 1988 and remained on the list until 1993 when I then joined an arch rival the following year. That didn't work out so I left the AFL scene only to be then picked up by the team of the 90's in 1996 where I played just one solitary game.
Essendon Football Club- We arent arrogant, just deluded.

My career can at best be described as a battlers career but I did have some cracking games. I recieved 3 brownlow votes twice. Once when I kicked 8 and another when I had 34 touches.
I also kicked 5 in a game when a golden boy announced his arrival by kicking 6.

Good ol' silky skilled Bradley Plain who was hated by just about every player at the club.

Re: Bombertalk Footy Quiz
Since these stats were first recorded one Essendon player holds the records for the most clangers in a game. Who is it and bonus points for the tema against, year and the round.
