Every year less and less delisted players are getting a second crack at senior football, its quite sad really. Some players that missed out today include Troy Makepeace, Harry Miller, Troy Schwarze, Jason Cloke... just to name a few. Is this mainly because the national draft was so good that clubs went for youth or is this trend going to continue for the next few years?

Very happy to get Mal Michael though, much needed help for Fletch!! :D

As clubs get more serious about their list management, they become less interested in other clubs rejects and prefer to go with youth unless there is someone of real quality available or a player that meets a specific need.

I think this trend will continue indefinitely unless there comes a time when list sizes actually are allowed to grow.

Good one Collingwood and Carlton - swapping Z-grade ruckman via the PSD! Seriously, i'd pull my hair out if i was a Carlton supporter - their ruck stocks now comprise Ackland, Cloke, McLaren and whoever they drafted at pick 17 (can't remember his name).

Ben Ross is pretty lucky. I've been training with him and i'm a bit taller than him, he is pretty short but he killed everyone in the time trials.

Good to see us officially get Mal. We should have a good year next season.
