I think this kid is going to be pretty special. 6 goals from 6 kicks in a complete whooping yesterday in his second game. Great contested mark.

A Victorian who's out of contract at the end of the season... Could end up being massively overpaid to stay at Port.

Yeah one of the only highlights to come out of yesterdays game for the Power... have some pretty good book ends in Buethcer, Trengove, Carlile, Chaplin.... whether they decide to stay is another matter..

He hails from Kaniva ... which is a hell of a lot closer to Adelaide than it is to Melbourne... so go home factor is non existant.

Money and a professional club may attract him ... but he is likely to have the same levels of gratitude to his club for supporting him through injury as Gumby has for us.

Don't think he will move

Could we swap him for Gumby?

Trengove re-signed with the Power today.... Butcher and Carlile will almost certainly follow....

How the f*** could Carlton afford him? Pay him under the table like Judd I guess.

Answered your won question.

I reckon we should have a look too. Imagine a forward line with him and Hurley. Or it could lets us play Hurley in the backline and still have a great forward line.

Kaniva - Home to Big Roger and Glen Hawker.

True but alas also Alstar Clarkson hails from this far outpost of Victoria !

Butcher would be a welcomed assition on our list. He would at least clear out some of the chops we have....

He is from Maffra in Gipsland, which is a lot closer to Melbourne so the home factor is there.

Yikes ... yet another body blow to my credibility (which was already way into negative territory) ... GK is correct - Butcher is indeed Maffra born and bred (as a simple google search shows rather than relying on the say so of a radio commentator from a station that features many of the mugs featured in the Avitar of the Month thread)

My bad...

Now expected to re-sign with Port. Much batter than Carlton getting him.
