AFL umpire Michael Pell has been arrested in relation to suspicious betting on this years Brownlow Medal.
Victoria Police said detectives from the Sporting Integrity Intelligence Unit made the arrests on Monday morning as part of an investigation relating to "the release of the Brownlow Medal voting tallies from matches" this season.

AFL Umpire arrested
Re: AFL Umpire arrested
It puts paid to the myth/lie that nobody has seen or even knows the votes until they are opened on the night.
dices ad adepto futui (tell them to f*** off)
Re: AFL Umpire arrested
Do they shuffle the order of the last round votes to have the contenders last?
If not, the way the winner is usually announced at the penultimate or last call of votes pretty much confirms that someone knows something beforehand.
