Clarko's Clusterf*ck

Post by robrulz5 »

Clarkson has taken indefinite leave from North Melbourne due to the racism scandal.

I wonder if he will now have time to reflect on his word regarding James Hird.

"It is (an issue) that really brought to attention just how significant is the role of a coach and a football department in shaping the lives of young men."

Let’s not forget this gem from Ron Joseph…
North Melbourne legend Ron Joseph says Alastair Clarkson was never going to take Essendon's 'drug money' to go to 'spiritless, windswept hole' in brutal swipe at failed bid to sign the coach

Clarkson wrote:"Some clubs take a long, long time to recover from the trauma of exiting a contracted coach much more prematurely than what they initially thought," he said.

I'll be barracking for Norf against the swans this week.

I have zero sympathy for Clarkson after that crap he said about Hirdy in the drugs saga.

If he and Fagsn weren’t asked for Any Input into the inquiry into Hawthorn,I can understand their angst to a point.

Whatever they say,I can’t quite see how they can disentangle themselves from everything else that did or didn’t happen amongst the turmoil there.

More to this sordid matter to follow no doubt!

And so Caro helps to skewer yet another senior coach.
I wonder if she would have gone so hard if either Hird or Clarkson were at Punt Road???
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

Weren't they central to the entire ordeal?

Talk of Hawthorn losing draft picks. vingertje

Some rumouster suggesting Clarko may be courted back to Hawks. Surely that is absolute folly considering his recent criticism of the club and that Mitchell doesn’t get along with him. What is this calix?

Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy.

Clarkson has been given a leave pass for far too many previous indiscretions.

The AFL should have taken a stand with him over the umpire abuse thing, instead he was just given a 4 game stay away order from the U9's team he was involved with (AFL did not issue a "please explain") in the year he was an "Ambassador for Umpiring" ... as well as the AFL looking the other way in 2020 when he accused AFL umpires of acting like "an extra man on the ground" (AFL did not issue a "please explain").

And then there was the threatening language to the female reporter at the start of this year over her asking about Tarryn Thomas (he did apologise but again the AFL did not issue a "please explain".

Or when he was restrained by Hawthorn's Evans while he was shouting vitriol and abuse at Essendon players in 2009... including Jobe and Andrew Lovett.... and then went on radio to repeat the slurs.

It seems the AFL is really strong about protecting umpires and women in sport ... except when it is Clarkson

f*** him. He is a dog.

Ian Aitken spent 30 years holding a grudge and suffering the affects of that cowardly act.

He was on Insight not so long ago about his experience.

Alistair was quite the busy boy that day and Blues players Gleeson,Johnston and Shine in a separate Incident gave him a piece of their mind.

The AFL have predictably swept it under the carpet.

The players and their families are planning to take it further though. Will be interesting.

If there is a Court process, where do the nitwits on Facebook and Twitter stand legally,if they’re figuratively flapping their gums about the case and comments on such forums aren’t blocked, incredibly?!

I don’t think 🤔 n context matters it’s not a criminal case. A commission on human rights will hear the application and direct mediation. In essence, speculation wouldn’t hinder the process.

Amusing.

Clarko gets pinged for his sledge Webster and Howard ,but no apology required sledging the Eagles in the process!

Ok then,….

Seriously though,$20K plus Suspended Penalty of 2 Weeks if he opens his mouth again before the end of the 2025 Season.

It’s a rare thing when I agree with anything the AFL do,but that seems fair.

Mind you,it will get dull if Clarko can’t give us a sideshow, unable to let fly for a while!
