Congrats to Neale ... but I'll say what a lot of people are probably thinking

WTF?

Neale polled in games where he was held by taggers and Dunkley was the match winner. Yet Dunkley polled in only 2 games.

I also would have though that with 4 umpires, there would be less focus on the center clearance player and more awareness of the palyeres at either end of the ground.

What a crock.

Langford only polled in 2 games, and even then 1 and 2 votes. Redman and Ridley only pollen in one game for 1 vote each.

The Brownlow is becoming more irrelevant each year.

It’s a ****** sham.

R6 Neale got 20 disposals. 3 votes.

Charlie Cameron kicked 7 goals. 2 votes.

Josh Kelly 41 disposals and a goal. Nought.

Stephen Coniglio 38 disposals. Nought.

Fair points Guys.

Admittedly I don’t have the razor sharp memories you guys have of such games, but Neale to be fair is still a proven player and a Noted Vote Magnet.

But please,Never Ever Give it to the Media. This is the Umpires’ Award and it Must stay that way, however flawed their Voting might be.

Even if Rob Wiley was denied 5 Sandover Medals. #-o
