I know it's a mad week for scurrilous, unfounded rumour. But on SEN this arvo I'm sure they said we were showing some interest. Tell me it's not true... Just checked the calender and April 1 is miles away... ](*,)

Wasnt there talk of getting him to Essendon about 2 or 3 years ago? Too late I reckon. I dont think he would add much.

He would be on a fair bit also at Carlton. Not worth it though.

Soft, a frontrunner, shirks the issue. Buckley-lite.

We don't need no stinking Pea-hearts at Essendon. It took us two years to get rid of Murphy.

If Carlton are prepared to lose Stevens after stating categorically they won't deal on Thornton, then they might as well fold now like they should anyway.
Basically its a load of rubbish. Even Carlton wouldn't do something like that unless they get a decent player and a 1st/2nd round pick.
What club would offer that ?.

Carlton wouldn't let Stevens go. They need midfielders to work with Marc Murphy and Stevens to get the ball forward to Fevola. That's been their priority (so I've been reading) since the season ended.
