Interesting that Richmond are the ones that look like getting Thomson next year. I would have thought Melb, Coll or even Adel was a better fit for him.

A little surprising that PA is only accepting #42 for him considering he was a first round selection when he was drafted. I think he was #12 overall.

Is that a reflection on the importance of keeping picks or based on the fact that they basically had to take whatever they could for him???

Yeh i guess that even though Thomson was a first round selection, PA would rather get something for him than lose him to the PSD for nothing. It would be nice if a few other clubs did that so that the players who really need/want to move can and not have to rely on the draft system where their chances of being picked up are slim.
