OK...so who goes?

We have Picks 2, 18, 20, 36, 42 & 47 plus number 2 in the PSD. That is sensational as the draft goes deep.

That makes 7 to go.

Rioli has retired. Rama hopefully will go on the mature Rookie list....but just talking to Dodge no doubt Adolf will put the kybosh on that so he'll have to retire (for a year hopefully). Solly has been Traded.

Thats 3.

Bolton surely has had it. That "pass" in the Richmond surely has put the impramatur on his file.... "never to be play again"

Reynolds is not SANFL standard....meaning no disrespect SA guys.

Cartlege is not "there" now that Chook has resigned and McKinnon is bigger, taller and older is therefore more experienced, so if if Hille/Chook had a LTI he could come up.

Henneman.....mmmm....I keep remembering those good years he had 02/03 at CHB and he has basically been injured for 3 years. I think Sheeds may see him as another Wally.

So that leaves one from the list to go. Who if Henno stays? :?

gone: Solomon, Rioli, Rama, Bolton, Reynolds, Henneman and a.n.other.

Reckon Cartledge should stay. Reckon there's some potential hiding deep within there somewhere.

The trade period IMO gave EFC a real reality check on its list.

Solomon got a contract elswhere but for not that much.

I do feel that if it wasn't such a "deep draft" this year, some players and more deals would have been done. It seems that each club are keeping picks for this "deep draft" of kids this year.

I would have been surprised if Bolton wasn't shopped around. And he got the thumbs down. Cartledge is also in the same boat.

As Filthy said we have six picks, maybe one or two for the PSD depending on what cattle enters it. That's 7 or 8 spaces to vacate. 8 or 9 if we elevate Jolley from the rookies.

ALREADY GONE: 1. Rioli (retired), 2. Solomon (traded)

LIKELY TO GO: 3. Ramanauskas (ill)

FACING THE GRIM REAPER: 4. Henneman, 5. Reynolds, 6. Cartledge, 7. Bolton (minimum).

ON THIN ICE?? : 8. Lee (if Melb delists Ferguson) 9. Peverill

DO WE ELEVATE Jolley??

Next installment comes end of October.

Here's a conspiracy theory for you.

Sheedy has traded Solomon, without getting a replacement backman who can play key position if he has, in order to save his love child Henneman being axed.

He was gone for all money, but with the way this trade week has panned out, I would not be at all surprised to see Henneman get another year as 'backup' just in case!!

I would get rid of both Cartledge and Pevrill and the others mentioned above.

We don't have to use all six picks.

It would be good to have a few new faces and also lose a few old ones though!

but we have to use pick 42 and 47.

I believe any pick you trade for you must use(well thats what the paper said...grain of salt...).

so if you assume that we use 42 and 47, you telling me we will pass with a second rounder?

i doubt it.

I hope you are not serious about Lee?? Was basically his first year of footy in 2006. Missed the whole of 2005 with OP.

To delist Lee would be tough. Name just thrown up for discussion. Not yet re-signed, so I brought him up.

It would be tough, especially when he hasnt been given the opportunities he should have got

I'm under the belief that there is rule stating that a club must use a pick it has traded for.

As picks 42 and 47 were a result of the Solly trade, we have to use them.

Meaning 6 picks!!

Has Mcphee resigned? He maybe one of the players missing from the list to go. Though i hope this doesn't happen.

Spot on.
However, we can pass on the higher picks. (ie 2,18,20,36 etc)

Can't see us passing on any of the higher picks though.

Are we looking at promoting any rookies to the main list? If yes, then that means more than 6-7 players need to be cut.

Was disspointed with Solly trade cuz didnt think we needed another late pick. Cant see sheedy delsiting to many of his love children, will be interesting to see who gets delisted now. Before trade I would have been happy if we didnt use pick 52 whic hwas 4 picks now looks like were gonna take two more picks on.
