McCartney hinted the Bulldogs had offered their second round NAB AFL Draft pick, number 22 overall.
I'm torn between not getting ripped off and not losing him for nothing, but there's still the best part of three weeks to get something done.
It'll get done. If Hampson is worth pick 28 then Crameri is worth a top 15 pick.

That's what we're looking at.

The whole talk of "refusing" to negotiate is crap.

Essendon and the Dogs know where each other stand. Now we're trying to whore ourselves out to see if we can score a player from somewhere.

Yes he is, as far as we are concerned. Do-do should stop buggarising around and get the deal done.

Pick 22 is now pick 26.... Unless we manage to get a third club involved for a better pick or player I say we take it. We don't want to lose him for nothing

How did this happen? Simple, we wanted more and weren't prepared to settle for less.

Now that's not a bad thing but; when the other party have nothing else to offer, we need to compromise. Otherwise, Crameri will go into the draft and we will get nothing at all. Like the song says, you got to know when to play'em and know when to lay'em.

What I meant was how did pick 22 become pick 26?

I haven't really caught up with the latest trade results. Did the Dogs trade away pick 22 and then land pick 26?

You'd think (hope????) our recruitment department would be smart enough to see that consequence.

Naaa ... we get to pay $2 each more per game next year than the doggies fans ... (its called theft .... no ... propping up losers, incompetents and drunks ... no ... equalisation ... thats it equalisation!!!)

Pity there isn't any return to the club for being successful and popular ... like additional funds for salary caps etc etc... or cash payments being tradable for draft picks!

Dodoro:
We’re disappointed but realistic that that was the position we were put in, and the best possible result was to get a second round draft pick.

Anyone care to comment on why Crameri was the only player to jump ship.

He was given every opportunity when fit and really nurtured along by the club.

Is he a classic instance of a commission hungry player agent pushing him towards more bucks (and a nice fat commission) ??
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

There are a couple of posters on Bomberblitz who claim to have some inside knowledge. Stated that he was dirty on the club over something.

Stated that it was more a difference of opinion than anything and neither party were really in the wrong.

However, there was also talk of one of the main motivating factors being getting to work with Brendan McCartney again who he had a very good relationship with when he was at Essendon.

Then there was obviously the added factor that the Bulldogs were offering him more money and a longer contract. Reports suggest that he received this offer from the Bulldogs but was pretty keen on staying at Essendon but we then only offered him a 2 year deal on a very significantly smaller amount.

Then the Bulldogs list/recruiting manager was on radio today saying one of the things that got Crameri to the club was a promise that he would be rotated through the midfield.

So in summary...who the f*** knows...who the f*** cares...he's just another opposition player now...so f*** him.

He gets to work with Brendan McCartney - who he has developed a strong friendship with and the Bulldogs courted him for a year. Pretty hard to resist whoreish attention from a third party who is offering more security and more money when you know where you've come from.

As anyone here ever been to Maryborough?

Good luck to him. No animus from me. I just hope whatever we get with pick 26 turns out better than Crammers at the kennel.

He is not John Coleman.
My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.
