We're running out of options for Pick 1 (if we are looking to trade it).
Am I missing something?

Brisbane give up 2, receive 3 & 16? What's the "change"?

GSW got 2, 31, 51 and 60.

Brisbane move down one ick, but get a 2nd First Round pick.

Brisbane now has picks 3, 16 19, 21.

Not bad for a rebuilding club.

That was our play and Brisbane got in in front of us.

Evidently GWS are desperate to snag McGrath.

So it looks like we are gunna keep pick 1. We should be touting to GWS that we are also hunting McGrath.....

We should try to get in Gold Coast's ear. They'all have 4,6,8,10 soon enough. Give them pick 1 and a player for 4, 6, 10.

Our second round needs to go as well in that deal.

Give them the Hibberd pick.

Give them the Hibberd pick.
And if a quality player comes up, use pick 10 on them.

I don't know that Gold Coast are as keen/desperate to get top end picks (i.e. pick number 1) to secure their man in this draft - like GWS are with McGrath.

Anyway........given the depth of this draft - if we have the opportunity to trade our number 1 pick for a couple more selections in the top 10 or dozen - I say go for it! If we can get 3 picks in the top 20 that should position us nicely to add the depth and youth that we need to take us to the next level.

Unless GCS have a desperate need to land a player that they feel may go before their first pick then I can't see them trading away 4 and 8 for 1 for the very same reason we want them to. In an even spread, multiple top 10 picks will be better than just the one

Ok, so we have #1

I'm undecided about McCluggage or McGrath. Either one will be fine with me.

Have we cleared enough off our decks to use all our picks or are we going to re-sign Dempsey? ffs

I haven't seen any of them play. I'd have a pretty good highlights package on YouTube.

A goalkicking natural midfielder like McCluggage fits our needs perfectly but Disco hasn't got many wrong over the last 5 years so whatever they choose I'll be happy.

I think McGrath. McCluggage rhymes with luggage. :)

There some talk of us going after Setterfield with pick 1, of course as a GWS Acamedy player they can match the bid, but they are also apparently massively keen on McGrath.

Check out McGrath he is outstanding. McCluggage might take a year or two to hit his straps. McGrath is ready to play now, I reckon.

Well pre-draft combine I'd have said McCluggage. McGrath killed the combine though, interviewed really well.

I'd lean towards him getting the nod from the club atm but I much prefer McCluggage.
