Combine is for the athletes.

Natural footballers cant be measured.

Yeah, just wondering if any of these tests involve kickin' the footy?

Also wondering how many sports scientists are at this Happy Camp?

Yep, wouldn't mind testing how many goals are kicked from 10 set shots from 40 metres out. Or how many goals kicked on the run from 50 metres with left and right foot. Or how many targets hit on the run with short and long passes. Or how many handballs are hit from 10 attempts with both hands...etc

I still think there's enough talent to swap pick 1 for 5 & 7.

McCluggage is injured so unlikely to feature in top 10 results if participating.

Having said that, Mcgrath looks like a beast of a footballer

Yes Ben, these sort of tests would be much better to judge the good footballers from the good athlete/mediocre footballer.

Who gives a f*** how high some-one can jump or how fast some-one can run if they can`t do anything with the ball if and when they get it, or worse still just can`t get it in the first place.

The Ridley kid has good kicking skills and seems to be somewhere around the early second round. Skinny as skinny gets at the moment though.

Pleeeeze no more skinny little weeds! Not so much criticising the previous bunch but now we need Hurley type grunt where it counts. Can't wait five years to make one from a matchstick!

Yeah, seems like every year there's a short guy or a guy with "low endurance" who falls well down the draft order but become very good.
