When I was a kid, $1Mil was a lot of money. These days things get talked about in billions. A mere Mil seems pittance in modern parlance. Back then a junior vfl entry was 25c, a meat pie was 20c, a wagon wheel 5c.

Seems like $850K is the new $500K? There's much more money floating about and the players are getting their hands on it tout suite.
