Flip has announced that he is retiring at the end of the season.

He wants to go back to Tassie in 2024.

Thanks for your solid service and a handful of outstanding games.

Yes, much respect to Flipper. Thanks, and all the best in future with the family.

Gave it his all, and played well in most games. Has had a good season!

Actually surprised he is pulling the pin.

He has played 17 games so far this season (his previous best was 16 in his first season at Carlton, 4th in the AFL)
Ave this season:
Hitouts 21.7 (previous best 29.0 from 5 games in 2018 - one of which had no opposing ruck. No others over 20)
Tackles 2.1 (previous best 2.4 in 2016)
Disposals 7.5 (previous best 11.3 from 5 games in 2019)

You could argue he has had his best year to date and is useful to have around if Draper gets injured or suspended.

He's done ok for us.He was a good choice as a backup ruck. Thanks for coming!
Retirement is a good call though. Bryan would realistically need to replace him even when Draper is back.

Was a real fan. Not the most gifted player we have recruited, but played his guts out every game. He was so strong, he could clear a path for 2MP by holding back two or three players to give Wright clear passage to the ball.
Probably saw the writing on the wall with Nick Bryant getting some game time and performing well.
Thanks for your efforts, Andy
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

Well done Flip.
Nothing spectacular about his performances, but always reliable and gave his all. It's all a fan or club could ask.
