Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

I have got to question your votes for Jetta too Malk - he had 8 possessions! I actually would have had him in our worst half dozen. Maybe your mind was on something else...? 8)

5. Hille
4. Lloyd (think just about all of us agree on these two; after that hard to pick)
3. Welsh (like this new role for him)
2. Fletcher (still so reliable down back)
1. Neagle (shows a lot of promise - without his game last night Lloyd would not have been able to play the HFF role)

Others worthy of mention....Reimers/Lonergan (great little tough nuts), Monfries, McPhee

2. McPhee - f*** he makes some silly mistakes though
1. Reimers

Would have given one to Watson but his kicking tonight let him down. Me thinks he is not 100%, but we are short of midfielders at the moment.
He kicks on the left

Also good: Monfries, Lucas, Stanton, Lonergan, Reimers, Neagle, Nash, Laycock, and McVeigh.
ditto.

As for Jetta - Malky! Are you kidding? He is not even close to being a good player last night. Very disappointed in this kid - contributes almost nothing - even his pac ehe doesn't use to his advantage. I expect he's homesick and will look to be traded to Freo or West Coast at the end of his contract (whenever that might be).

That's the thing about one's opinion - it is neither right, nor wrong.

I was only commenting on what I saw from my point of view.

fair enough.

but just to give me some insight - can you give me a few examples of what he did that you felt he earned votes for?

I can remember him laying a hip and shoulder on a weagle that earned an out on the full - but other than that I only really remember him running past opposition players or trunning past the footy, and remember him kicking one, slow, looping pass that should have hit Lucas on the lead but fell a metre or so short.

33 was tearing it up in the Q1, but finished it with the first of more'n a doz clangers. I thought he might've had a blinder, but it wasn't to be. It seems he doesn't trust his first instincts and often gets caught looking for an alternative or gets forced to fluff the disposal under increased pressure.

He has also started to do the Mark Fraser thing, which is take off before firm possession is made. That leads to dropped simple marks and fumbles. He is getting into position well, and getting plenty of opportunity, but he isn't quite capitalising just yet. If he does, watch out.

37 provided some spark and mongrel, and if he can put together a consistent 4 q's he'll do some damage to a few teams.
