Watson

Our best 5 players
Re: Our best 5 players
Hmmm....no
Hille is clearly in our top five these days and would be right up there in the B & F voting at present.
On form displayed this year, he would displace Lloyd from your list and probably Watson as well.
Lucas would certainly be there as can be seen from the overall improvement in the team since his return.
Spike's form has been very good in most of his games so far and Fletch is still possibly the most important player on the list.
So I would have (in no particular order)
Hille
Spike
Scotty
Fletch
others

Given form over the last couple of years and injuries notwithstanding:
Lucas
Hille
McVeigh
Fletcher
Lloyd
Watson, Stanton, McPhee, Davey and Lovett would be the next few.
Re: Our best 5 players
Five player that has made me feel good about things
Bachar Houli
Jay Neagle
Sammy Lonergan
Kyle Reimers
Paddy Ryder
and still feel an important part of our development Jobe Watson and Angus Monfries our two whipping boys. Jobe who reads the play better than given credit and Gus who will still run into a sumo wrestler to get the footy first.
The future is good.

Re: Our best 5 players
Fletcher (holds up the entire backline)
Lloyd (cannot remember a game we won recently without him playing well)
Lucas (always capable of kicking a bag)
Hille (competitive ruckmen who kicks goals. always puts in 100%)
McVeigh (strong, solid midfielder with great disposal and can push forward)
On the fringe: Watson, McPhee, Stanton. All with pretty much the same problem, which is effective disposal. Of recent all have won quite alot of the ball but unfortunately have not always done alot with it.
This topic really hits home how easy it is, and how hard it used to be to pick such a short list of great players.
2000: Hird, Fletcher, Lloyd, Lucas, Mercuri, Misiti, Wellman, Long, Hardwick, J.Johnson... the list goes on.![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
