Essendon vs West Coast Match Thread

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Essendon vs West Coast Match Thread

Discuss.

My synopsis = eagles were terrible, bombers weren't great but should win easily. Skills are far more superior and run and dash will be too much for the eagles.

Lucas? Be handy if he is available.

Anyway talk away, just felt I should start it since its my job basically

I'll be there :D , roaring for our boys, and trying to stick it up a few Wet Coke members while I'm at it!! (Thanks to the mother-in-law who is a member of the E-gurls but has graciously given up her seats for me to use!!). So I will be sitting in the heart of enemy territory, but by jeez, won't i be heard, win or lose.

Anyways, back on topic, I expect us to win, and win comfortably. Todays derby was pretty ordinary, Freo played a blinder in the 1st quarter (kicking 9 goals), and then basically just did enough to hang on (didn't kick a goal in the last quarter), and Wet Coke were just plain ******* ordinary. I realise we didn't exactly set the world on fire yesterday, but we still won, with a fair few non-contributors. Winning "ugly" is fine by me, it's still worth 4 points. I would, however, expect a few of yesterday's passengers to step up this week, 2 bad games in a row is unacceptable. I reckon we can do 'em by 5 goals.

And just so you know, i was there last year when Sir James laced 'em on for the last time, and Scotland bagged those 7 in the last quarter.Dead set, I am not at all a gay man, but watching that put a fair sized swelling in the front of the daks!!!

I'll be there as well. Going to be a big weekend.

Anyone who lives in Perth. Where is a good pub to have a drink on Saturday?

A lot of the bomber supporters meet at The Irish Club on Hay Street in Subiaco before the game.

I was there before the game last year. Good pub.

Hopefully I can find a good place for a session on Saturday as well.

Yep....I managed to score tickets for my daughter and I through the WA Bombers....don't pick them up until later in the week so not sure where they're located but I believe they'll be on the terrace level at the city end.

Kerr out for rest of season for the budgies. having a knee op.

Surely the only thing that can now cost us victory is a complacent attitude

C'arn Bombers
Carlton Football Club - Surely a contradiction in terms?

KERR OUT.

normally I would like to see us take on any team at full strength. given the context of the game and our still small chance at finals, i'll take it.

I think they expect Glass to play. Lloyd will probably have to work harder than he has been, although if Glass isn't 100% Lloyd should run him all over the ground and kill him.

Dempsey has to be in doesn't he, after two very good VFL performances?

Will hopefully be a cracker, and it would be good to see us boys get over the line by 30-40 points.

I still think it is a danger game for us though.

Good luck young fella. I'm surprised we're able to field a 22 this week with all our injuries. #-o

Just saw some footage of Sheeds jacket wave, his cut throat at Michael White, Hirdy's goal against west coast in the dying minutes and the crowd hug made me laugh, and then Round 22 last year, Macca crying, Jimmy crying, and geez it has pumped me up.

COME ON BOMBERS!

Awful, awful first quarter. No run, no desperation.
