With Daniher out, I'm surprised they didn't give Hooker a go.

They're reporting on SEN that both Rocca and Medhurst are in doubt even though they've been named...

Their forward line is going to cause us some trouble. It would have been nice to have Daniher and Hurley available.

Yes. And you know why? They have small forwards who are dangerous and potent in front of goals. Meanwhile, our small forwards are.......robrulz5 wrote:Their forward line is going to cause us some trouble.

Re: ANZAC DAY TEAMS
dont mind this team i guess, couple of good players missing with injury (unavoidable) and 3 deserved omisions so can't complain, lets just hope this team can do some damage come saturday...

Their talls are shit and overrated. Rocca and Cloke are crap. John Anthony is a good prospect though. Leigh Brown? Pfft.robrulz5 wrote:Yeah that, I was also worried about their talls.BenDoolan wrote:Yes. And you know why? They have small forwards who are dangerous and potent in front of goals. In saying that though, if ever a mediocre tall forward will have a day out, it will be against us.

I dont mind Lucas in defence, put him on Rocca and stitch him up. As for Anthony and Medhurst, they are going to run riot.

Re: ANZAC DAY TEAMS
Put pressure on the midfield and I have no doubt we will win...the problem is it is raining here in Adelaide and I think that will suit their mud-runners to a tee while we try and handball and carry and chip kick.

Would be handy if we had Andrew Welsh. He kicked their arse last time we played them.

Re: ANZAC DAY TEAMS
Its the Coll small men like Didak, Medhurst (fingers crossed he isnt playing) Lockyer, Swan, Davis and co that will cause us the most headaches. Our defence looks a little short but Im sure that Hille can hold his own in the ruck and Ryder can go back if needed.
Its a special day on Saturday.... i hope the players remember that and play accordingly. Careers can be made or broken on Anzac Day!

Re: ANZAC DAY TEAMS
I like the look of this team and the reinforced backline. Under the circumstances, this is the best team we can field and with Hocking and Lonegan coming in, some real toughness at the ball. Having said that, I forced myself to watch the Norf game and was surprised at the amount of grunt work that Skippy did.
We have to play to our potential (no kidding!!) and a lot has to go right, but all these guys have shown they have the goods at different times and if we can get it happening together, we have to be a chance.

Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

Re: ANZAC DAY TEAMS
I would be tempted to throw Scotty down back and McFee up forward...
I think that McPhee is not a CHF, however, he is capable of causing damage...
Also, Scotty down back may see him get the pill a bit more often, thus building his confidence and form...also, if it is wet, his long kicking may be advantage coming off the backline and he would certainly force one of the Filth's forwards to play accountable if we can get a run on![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: ANZAC DAY TEAMS
Don't mind that team. Have brought in a bit of grunt with Lonergan and Hocking and dropped a couple who are a bit more soft and wait outside the packs. Sounds like Mcveigh is in a little bit of doubt, just have to wait and see. If he doesn't pull up they would probably bring Dyson back into the team.
Natrat has played well against the pies in recent years, let's hope he can do it once again. Possibly a bit lucky to be in the team, but his first two weeks at Bendigo were quite good. A fairly quick team this week, which should suit us if the ground is a little wet.

Is there a single post you have written this week that hasn't bagged Monfries? (whether you name him or not).BenDoolan wrote:Yes. And you know why? I'm down on him as well, but geeeeesh.

Sorry Stag, it's far better to get stuck into Dyson and NLM isn't it?Staggy wrote:Is there a single post you have written this week that hasn't bagged Monfries? I'm just saying that think your point about Monfires has already been made in a number of other threads.
I think you should start doing it in the 'Other Sports' forum. "Yes I agree that that Bollinger isnt Australia's fast bowling solution. You know who else isn't the solution? Monfries..."
