Anzacc Day Votes

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

I agree that Jetta was outstanding except for one glaring mistake. Don't think he quite made the votes though.

5. Ryder
4. Dyson (never thought I'd write that)
3. Stanton
2. Monfries
1. Zaharakis

McPhee would have gotten votes apart from that STUPID, STUPID, STUPID handball.

Thought Myers looked better today but Pears was a little worrying - ball watching a fair bit.

5- P Ryder
4- R Dyson
3- J Watson
2- A Monfries
1- A Lovett

With Hille going down after what two minutes and the filth kicking the first two goals everything could have turned to shit.

I could have named more players because OUR boys showed that we have more heart and desire than a complacent filth who are at best pretenders.

f****** awesome. I reckon we were clearly the better side for much of the day - should have been at least 5 goals up at 3 qtr time. To be overtaken and then come back like that in the dying minutes - a truly great, great win.

3. Lovett. Our best player. Creates with every touch. Gave me Longy flashbacks.
2. Ryder. Massive heart on the boy.
1. Fletch. The rock.

5. Ryder - the best game he has ever played, by the length of the straight.
4. Stanton - absolutely magnificent today. Best game for this year and probably for most of last year too.
3. McPhee - playing up back means you don't have to make decisions! Just run, punch kick.
2. Dyson - still prone to f*** ups and short steps but an absolutely mighty effort today.
1. Lovett - every time he got it we looked like scoring. Our best player so far this year.

Surely in a democracy, we have the right to question things we don't agree with...it's just different people expressing their opinions which is a major part of the democratic process is it not?
No - in a democratic system a person's vote is normally anonymous to avoid the very challenging you refer to

Do we cast 5 votes or 3 votes - there seems to be some confusion

Very hard to do. The four after Ryder could have been in any order. A few others unlucky to miss out. Watson being the first that comes to mind.

Watson deserves votes for absolutely turning the centre clearances on it's head in the last 5 providing the driving force to win the game, Zaharakis deserves votes for a calm head and great poise under super pressure and making the most important kick of the day, and Davey deserves votes for chasing all day long and having the pies shitting their pants and hearing footsteps even when he was 20-30m away.

Would give one to Zaha just for kicking that goal, but one goal doesn't make a match
