Geary goals against the flow, we had the footy deep in our forward line for a while but both Gus and Neagle couldnt score.

Monfries is having a shocker.

half time

8.8.56
5.1.31

Much better quarter by the boys but we just couldnt quite make it count on the scoreboard.

Possessions:
Hocking-16- is playing well in the middle
Pears-14
Dempsey-13
Houli-18- creating lots of run
Lovett-15- probably our best so far
Watson-20- racking up the possies

Players that need to lift
McPhee
Monfries-3 possessions so far
Lloyd- 3 possessions and has spent time on the bench with a jaw/cheekbone issue
Stanton- 5 possessions and getting severely tagged by Jones
Zaka- 4 possessions

Looking forward to a tight second half.

Listening to game over the net, we certainly lifted that qtr and it sounded a cracker.

If we can keep that up 2nd half then no matter what the score finishes today, then we can go into the remainder of the season knowing that we can live with and beat the best of the rest

Should've stopped that last goal. Too easy.

Saints looked a bit tired that qtr. Possibility of running over the top of them perhaps. Need some better use going forward.
Zaka needs to get rid of the ball quicker. McPhee too far behind Gwilt.

Watson good use & lovely pass to Neagle. Lovett dangerous as per usual. Ryder doing well against King. Hocking doing the JJ role - gets the hard ball & goes forward.

Davey will probably get a week with a good record. Jumped into Dal Santo after the ball left. Back of Davey made contact so will limit it from being more than 1 I'd think.

Gardiner taps it beautifully to Montagna and Hayes gets an easy goal.

Not the start we wanted.

Davey bursts through the packs and Hooker misses from right in front.... needed to do better there Cale...

Slattery and Dyson muck around with it and Lloyd misses from the boundary... we need to make these chances count. The pressure is still good from the boys though we just need to put it on the scoreboard.

DEMPSEY!!!!!!

Lovett steals it from Gilbert after great defensive work from McPhee and Pears and Dempsey runs into goal!!!

C'mon Bombers!!!! :D

----------------------

Saints run it forward and Kosi outmarks Pears easily... goal to the Saints. He has 3 goals now even though Pears has been very good on him. Hooker is keeping Revolting out of the game.

Hooker takes a great mark but then tries to play on and Schneider gets him.... we got away with that though.

Neagle just cant quite mark it at the moment, Dawson is unfortunately doing well on him at the moment.

Goes down the other end and Kosi has marked it again....

----------------------
Hocking loses the ball in the middle and luckily Milne misses another shot at goal. We are just hanging in there at the moment... margin is 24 points.

Lloyd lining up after great run from Natrat and Smokey.... GOAL!!!!! Lucky he kicked it because he didint give it over to Ryder who was by himself in the goal square!

-----------------------------
Kosi has marked in front of Pears again (Kosi is getting away from him a bit) and he has kicked his 4th goal... just as we start getting on top the Saints manage to score.

Great work again by Watson and Gus gets a lucky free kick really... a rare touch for Monfries...he misses :?

-------------
we have the run of play at the moment... McPhee and Lloyd have come into the game. Lloyd misses on the run from 40m unfortunately.

ball up in the goal square... 8 secs left.... nope couldnt score...

3/4 time

11.11.77
8.6.54

we are definately in this contest at the moment

Possessions:
Hocking-25
Pears 21
McPhee-17
Dempsey-21
Houli-21
Lovett-19- just drifted out of the match late in that quarter
Watson-32- outstanding
Dyson-27- great 3rd quarter

Monfries and Stanton still havent fired a shot.

Still a chance with our run. A few errors have been costly.
We're playing pretty well. Take out the 1st qtr & we've been the better team. Just need some scoreboard result.
Lloyd had a good qtr.

Gus having one of his bad games. Missing Fletch. Would cut out some of those one out kicks to Kosi.

hmmm 23 piint margin...

must kick the first 2 goals of the quarter to have any chance. Pears needs to tighten up on Kosi who got away from him in that quarter. Monfries and Stanton must fire up.

------------------
good pressure to start the quarter, i have really liked the game of Hooker. Riewoldt has had no real impact on the match at all.

Watson has been great....... but his kicking really lets him down. A simple turnover just when we were getting away and now Riewoldt is lining up for goal after outmarking Dempsey.

Saints out to a 29 point lead.... fat lady perhaps making her way to the stadium now.

--------------
Lloyd perhaps for the quick reply after a free kick against Fisher....GOAL... Lloydy has 3.

We are on at the moment... Lloydy is looking dangerous as does McPhee.

We need a goal though and its just not happening at the moment.

-----------------
Dempsey misses from 40m, you really needed to kick that Courtenay. :?

Great harrassment by our forwards.... McPhee has been wonderful....

Gussy sprays another shot at goal... 19 point margin and we are wasting opportunities.

-------------------
coast to coast... Riewoldt marks and Natrat gives away 50m. Margin back to 25 points. Our missed shots in this quarter are really hurting us.
