Yeah it has definately crashed, i cant see the stats anymore... Riewoldt marks again and this could blow out if we arent careful. You gotta feel for Hooker coz he has done so well on him all night. Gwilt marks near the goal post.

All the run has stopped now, junk time footy.

Brave effort by the boys, who knows what may have happened if we had made the most of those missed shots of goal.

Bravo Watson, 40+ touches.

Great fight from the team. St Kilda fans should remember their ridiculous lofty ambitions from a few years ago and the way they crashed and burned. f****** pretenders.

Game over

13.12.90
10.11.71

I really feel that we outplayed the Saints after 1/4 time but they won the match in the first quarter when they kicked 6 goals to 2.

Great, brave effort by the boys. Watson, Lovett, McPhee, Hocking, Dyson and Dempsey were awesome all night. Hooker and Pears are going to be ripper defenders as well and should be proud of their efforts.

from what I could hear of the last 1/4  , we had plenty of chances but didnt take them then then the aints chipped and kicked to run down the clock.

Is that a fair assumption of the last 1/4?

Far more positives then negatives from this defeat.
Carlton Football Club - Surely a contradiction in terms?

Good to see us fight to the end. Last yr would've been a % blowout.

Bad start hurt us. But we'll bulk up more in a season or 2 & be able to absorb early pressure. At the moment we're relying on running over the top of sides.
Still need more avenues to goal. Struggling to get players running into space inside 50 (or crumbing), & just not hitting enough targets.

I am extremely proud of the effort the boys put in today. They kicked a few out of their bums and we made some costly errors at critical times but all in all I felt we got a lot out of the game. Jobe Watson was sensational despite those couple of errors in the last and I dips my lid to him. I thought Hooker and Pears were fantastic again.

The first quarter killed us but it showed a lot of resilience to come back from that.

Mark my words there are a lot of downhill skiiers in that St Kilda side and they will be found out big time come September.
