Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Here are my Top 5 Crying Events

1) When the Siren blew in the 1984 Grand Final
2) Hirdy's Retirement - the post match weep fest gets me every time
3) Every Anzac Day during the Last Post
4) The ANZAC Day win over Collingwood - 2009
5) When I found out Hird had another son

Besides the '84 GF, I'm sensing a common theme :P

Poor little Tiger tike. I felt sorry for him. Its hard for a 5 year old to understand why the team he is following is well ...a complete rabble.

The real culprits are his parents filling him with false expectations about the Tigers. They have increased their membership this year with those jumping on board thinking that this is the year that it will all come together. How wrong they were. Beware though, we can laugh at them now but if they do a complete clean out, appoint a decent coach, rebuild with proper footballers they might once again be a force to be reckoned with. The trouble is they have been trying to do that for 30 years with nought to show for it.

I thought it was pretty poor journalism to even show the footage.
And they showed it more than once, so it wasn't accidental.

Took me back to 3/4 time '83 Granny. Was a total wreck and looking for a bridge to jump off. I have never before or since felt so low and was close to tears, so I really felt for the little guys. Maybe it wasn't a Grand Final on Saturday, but it was probably as close to one that Ninthmond will get for a while.
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

Think about it this way, when he becomes a teenager and rebels even more against his parents, he may look back at this game and something akin to:
"f*** it, that is the best Richmond could do, I am going to be a Bomber Fan"

Then when he comes in here to chat with all his Bomber Mates, well, this thread will have been long dead and buried...

that richmond kid will forever have a deep hatred for us now.

My whole family are Tigers supporters. I thank God every day i dodged that bullet. My best mate who I go to most games of footy with is also a mad Tiger supporter.

I often joke about how I should report my Bro to child services for making his family barrack for them.

I have quite a soft spot for them, I was actually hoping that this year they might come good.

They are so bi-polar it is amazing. They still reach the depths of despair with every heartwrenching loss (often before it happens....) yest when they do win it is an amazing sight to behold.

We'll see how you feel in a few years when he or his brother throw a punch at you in The Royal.

1. GF vs Brisbane in 01. My mum made me watch it, to teach me a lesson cause I was a sore loser. I used to cry after every game we lost when i was about 7-10 years old. I was so used to watching us win everything I would cry. What a (tall) little loser I was hahaha.
2. Western Bulldogs loss in '00'
3. Hirdy's retirement

Think that's it. Hopefully I'll have nothing to cry about this year.
