Just finished watching the first quarter and I'd kill for a free kick or at least a rubbish free kick to not be paid to Geelong.

Or failing that a high powered sniper rifle and a seat in the dome.

The ball has not left Geelongs forward line, and you need to be superman to stop them by yourself.

On top of that, Stevie J is a confidence player, once he gets on top, he is almost impossible to stop...Hocking started on him, got towled up, Stevie's confidence is right up there...yet this is slattery's fault....

Yawn. Oh no his confidence is up. Big deal, Slattery needs to learn how to dispose of the ball. Maybe manning up tightly would be nice to. But yeah lets excuse him, SJ's confidence is up.

Too late to mount a challenge for the points but some respectability in the scoreline wouldn't go astray. Would be nice to bang on a couple of unanswered goals to take some of the humiliation out of the score.

I don't understand the people who stick up for Slattery at all. He has never beaten a decent player his entire career.

Any reason in particular Lloyd wasn't in the game today?

Looks as though we struggled right across the ground. Did we have any shining lights?

Just saw one foray forward... delivery is pretty rubbish by the looks. No wonder he hasn't seen much of the ball.

... and why is Slattery playing on Steve Johnson? No wonder he kicked 6.

Hmmm... just seems that Hocking and then Slattery on Johnson was asking for trouble. I guess it is good to try things but that was fraught with danger from the word go. I just thought someone like Pears would have taken Johnson. With McPhee, Hooker and Pears back there, I figured they'd take Mooney, Hawkins and Johnson being the three talls. Seems to make sense to me. May have been just as bad, but at least it would make some sort of sense.

To me, Davey is a forward pocket, but hasn't been playing there. Monfries is a forward pocket type, but has been playing more out of half forward (with some good results). We seem to be hell-bent on turning everyone into a midfielder.

Forget the backs and forwards, our mids got smashed and when that happens, the backs will be inundated and against this Geelong side, if you can't even get close in the middle, then they will put on a score no matter how good or bad your backline may be...

That said, I thing things may have been very different if we had both Demps & NLM in the side...might of only lost by a handful of goals, but still lost...

Slattery was drowned by the tsunami called Ablett,Ling,Selwood,Mackie, etc etc etc.

Johnson is in career best form and was too slippery for Slatts.

Don't mind Slattery, he's honest....unfortunatley he had a bad one, Channel 7 probably dug up some footage to get him a game on the sidelines...........

I hated no 50-50 decisions went our way...at least 5 or 6 went Geelong's way all resulting in goals.

I also hated listening to Schwarz and Cometti dribbling while masturbating over the Geelong team.
