Geez just what we need..... we will have no ruckmen for the match against Melbourne.

Time for young Christian Bock to debut!!! :D

Any chance he can get off the charge altogether?

That is a disgrace if true. Jesus Christ, you see harder bumps than that in the little league.

Should absolutely challenge IMO.

Patrick Ryder, Essendon, has been charged with a Level Two engaging in rough conduct offence against Patrick Dangerfield, Adelaide, during the third quarter of the Round 11 match between Essendon and Adelaide, played at Docklands on Sunday June 7, 2009.

In summary, he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

The incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), medium impact (two points) and high contact (two points). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 168.75 points and a one-match sanction.

You have got to be f***ing kidding me!!!

He gets a week for that which is the same penalty as what Gardiner from St Kilda got a week earlier when he deliberately elbowed someone in the face. For f**k's sake this MRP is beyond a joke.

Knights trip was considered not enough to be reported. Jeez Fletcher would be furious.

Was a legitimate bump in the course of play. The club should challenge and beat it. The charge is rubbish.

What a f****** joke. Since when is a clean hit as bad as smacking someone?

MRP needs to pull their head out of their arse.

Absolutely furious with those soft bastards.
Totally inconsistent. So King can get 4 weeks with an early plea for hitting someone.
Hall can hit people in the neck and no case to answer!!!
Adelaide can trip people...
What a disgrace.
Ryder is a fair player and I hope that they absolutely take this crap to the highest level.
Show those pricks what the Essendon club is made of...
Perhaps we should make it count next time and send them to another dimension...

What the hell does this mean? It's not as though he's new to the competition and doesn't have a track record. This is his 4th season of AFL football. If he doesn't have a "bad record" then by default he has a good record... unbelievable.

If Ryder goes for that, Dangerfield should go for tripping.

Laid a great bump, shoulder to shoulder, to give his teammate (McPhee) time to dispose of the ball... which he did and Prismall was able to clear. Great example of shepherding and protecting the ball carrier. Too few players do it in our side. Maybe Knights should show that bit of footage to the rest of the team to show them what to do when their mate is hot.

The Essendon Football Must Take a Stand and throw everything at this decision including the bloody kitchen sink if necessary...
Perhaps they could do a reinacment as to what happens if you full on hit someone to those idiots involved...
Bring on Nathan L and smash them lol
Maybe just maybe it will knock some common sense into those spastics...

Just saw it then for the first time. My first reaction was that it was April 1st and the MRP was having a laugh. My god. If he goes for that then football is dead. It is a perfect hip and shoulder. He doesn't hit him in the head.
