Votes V Scum

Post by robbie67 »

The votes are hard tonight. It was our most complete performance in years. One bloke did stand out though from the crowd though.

5. Andrew Welsh (just magnificent)
4. Tayte (Scarlett) Pears
3. Angus Monfries
2. Patrick (Polly) Ryder
1. Brett (no longer a pussy) Prismall

Apologies, and their will be many: Lovett, Lloyd, Lucas, Skipworth, Hooker, Winderlich, Fletcher, Davey, Dyson, Hocking, Lonergan, Reimers. Watson had such a good first quarter, I have to apologise to him as well.

The early mail is that he'll be out for at least 2. According to Tim.

5. Welsh (Most poss on the ground with 30. 4 clearances, 6 marks. Beat Judd in almost all areas.)
4. Pears (21 poss, 6 contested. The run to provide an attacking option was the highlight.)
3. Monfries (5 goals from 4 marks & 11 poss with 4 contested. 91% effective disposals. Couldn't do much more from his opportunities & gave us scoreboard result from strong leading.)
2. Prismall (25 poss, 7 contested. 6 marks, 3 clearances. Solid game.)
1. Ryder (Most hitouts on the ground with 30 out of our 36. 5 tackles, 16 poss with 5 contested. 3 clearances & a goal. Worked hard all game.)

Apologies to Jobe (who was BOG before the injury), Lovett (tagged heavily & fired up in the last, but I give him votes every week), Davey (13 poss with 11 contested. & 4 clearances), Hocking/Lonergan/Hooker for their hardness at the ball. & finally, apologies to all the players that didn't get a mention. We beat the scum because we worked for each other & kept to the gameplan. & because we're better!

I will revisit Stanton's game but I thought he really got us going tonight when Watson went off

It was hard deciding the votes this week.... the whole team was outstanding!!

5- Pears- Round 13 rising star for sure after that performance on the Fev.
4- Lovett- Was outstanding particlarly in the second half. Not only kiced the brilliant goals but tackled and chased hard as well. Put that little shit Joseph back in his box!!
3- Stanton- really lifted when Watson went off. Liked all his efforts tonight.
2- Welsh- beat Juddy last night and getting 30 possies in only ur second game back is sensational.
1- Monfries- 5 goals was a great return.

apologies to everone else in the team!!
