Rioli and Selwood

Maybe we thought that we had enough of that type of player with Davey, Jetta and Lovett in particular in the side. Myers was drafted because we lacked taller defensive players.

And he's fixing that situation by playing in the 2s...

Of course, we didn't have a crystal ball but I'm pretty certain you take the best available player with your #1 pick. We struggle in that department year in, year out. In saying that, we've picked quite a few winners in recent years... just not many with our #1 pick.

And I disagree Mrs M.
1. Myers is not a tall defener based on what we have seen. He could be a good tal wingman/half-back is fit and finds his loooong kicks again, but won't be a KPP.
2. Davey is a forward, Lovett a midfielder and Leroy is VFL level ATM. Rioli plays forward and midfield. We could f***** do with him.
