Has been all over the media this morning. And now this from BB.
I wasn't going to post this here, but now that it has been all over the radio I thought it was worthy to be looked at and discussed.
A rumour going around is that Richmond will be announcing that Knights will be their head coach in 2010. Apparently both Richmond and Knights have agreed not to discuss this publicly until Essendon's challenge for a finals campaign is over.
Personally, I don't believe it. BUT, given it has now been reported on 3AW, SEN and C10 I am starting to think there may be some truth to it. The media outlet I work in have contacted both Richmond and Knights who have offered no comment. Richmond have said they are still going through a process and will make a comment in due course.
I have also received 3 pms this morning from people on BB who are usually in the know suggesting they have heard similar.
I don't believe it, but at least we can say we had it on BB first if it does come true.
Think it is unlikely but still worth posting. The person who posted it on BB (fogdog) is well connected and normally on the money.
Shit... Knighta wouldnt leave surely... We are a hell of a lot closer to a flag than the Tigers. I thought Knights was under contract until next year anyway??

Yes but the Tigers are a hell of a lot closer to his heart than EFC
it's absolute crap, Knights is keen to get the Bombers up! why would he sign an extension only a little while ago?
Kakadu Kangaroos
Captain of the first BomberTalk International Test Squad
BT Soccer World Cup Champion Captain of the Bombertalk Reds 3rd with 4 wins - 108.30%
(6 games) - 65 kicks, 33 marks, 52 handballs, 4 tackles, 3 Hit Outs, 2 goals
If this is true, then I am the poorest judge of human character. In what I have seen and heard from Knighta so far, this is completely opposite to the person that has impressed the hell out of me so far.
if it proves to be incorrect, I hope we vcan nail the bastard that started it.
If true, then we are stuffed for the rest of the year as we were when Sheeds was pushed.
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark
Yeah and next they will be saying - That is Why we lost to Ninthmond...
Give me a break...
If it is true then so be it...
Will only hang himself like the others before him...
Total crap I think...
He has been at the club for 4 years now, and knows our list as a whole and each player on it very well. He is almost 2 years into implementing a game plan (Which he would have also been pushing when he was coaching Bendigo), and you can see the improvement and potential in the list. You are at a stable club who are backing you all the way.
Why would he then go to Richmond and start again with a fairly average list (yes, I know we lost to them) and start all over again? Besides his history with the club, I can't see any other reason behind coaching that club.
My first reaction to this rumour was that it was out and out bullshit but I simply cannot explain the complete ineptitude dished up but virtually every player at Bomberland in the last 2 weeks.
As a conspiracy theorist from way back, perhaps there is some truth to it and the players are in shock, are sooking and are incapable of playing properly.
I'm probably barking up the wrong tree but I cant explain the complete form turn around from the Sydney game and these 2 embarassments.
