Essendon vs West Coast Match Thread

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

This is f**king embarassing!!

With our laLyers runnng over the ball, dropping hanballs under no pressure, handballing in the forward line instead of kicking..I could go on and on, but, WHICH TEAM IS TANKING?!!

Officially one of the worst halves of footy I have ever seen from us.

Costing teams priority picks. What's Worsfold going to do now? Take all his players off?

Too slow - no pressure - tackling is laughable - clearence work non-existent (unless Watson gets it) - 3 blokes 'up' at the ball spoiling each other in defence (4 times in the 2nd quarter) - we look too small against them - the ball is being delivered to their feet.

This is PATHETIC!!!!!

Two weeks in a row now - serious questions need to be asked.
My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.

Maybe we should play Carlton every week, we seem to pull our fingers out then. Knowing us we will beat saints and hawks and lose to west coast, brisbane and freo.

I am not saying anything - oh alright I will

The writing has been on the wall over the last 2 weeks that our season was grinding to a halt. Our young talent has run out of legs and our old reliables are all carrying injuries (Watson, McVeigh, Winderlich, Lloyd, Welsh). We would have thrashed Richmond 6 weeks ago. Yet last week thay made us look 2nd rate - thats not because we are, we have proven all year we are a good up and coming side.

But - we have run out of Gas. Ryder is spent, Lloyd and Lucas are no more. I am afraid 2009 is over.

There were so many on this forum expecting to flog the Eagles - I made the point we couldnt beat Richmond at home, how the hell were we going to beat the Eagles at Subiaco. Even tanking they are a five goal better side over there!!. We are a five goal worse side.

Nope, am not surprised by the first half and whilst I hope to see a better second half, I seriously doubt we have the fire power to do it.

thats why i cant understand why TB hasnt been played. Ryder has looked tired for a while now and Hooker isnt really giving him much assistance in the ruck. Bellchambers is a RUCKMAN and should be in the side.

This. It was coming. I thought we were vulnerable today.

******* shameful effort with our season on the line. NLM must giggle when his money is put into the bank on pay-day. He doesnt even bother impersonating a footballer anymore.

First goal of this term will decide the game I think. Good to hear Knighta got into them. Now show us you want to win bombers! We can pile on goals quickly, hoping to see that. I'm running on empty of keeping optimism on this season.

We've had three shots, for two points and one that didn't make it. MUST make these chances count. We are playing (marginally) better though.

For the love of God will Hooker ever be sent back to the VFL? Or is he the new Kepler Bradley? I was hoping Knights wouldnt play favourites, especially when Tom B is available.

And Welsh has the reverse Midas touch today.

All over them. Now come on!!!!!! Still not close enough. Get to a goal behind before 3/4 time and I will be so sure we will run over the top of them.
