He wont be AA be who gives a flying F**K!!!

His game today was outstanding and he is our elite Mid-fielder. Whatever anyone else thinks or says about him is totally irrelevant!

If he doesn't poll decent votes in the Brownlow, then the award is a crock of shit. Easily our most consistent and best player this year. I'd anticipate 15 votes to be a true reflection of his influence in our wins. He'd probably poll votes in our losses as well. The best thing about Jobe's level of ability is the fact that he's worked his arse off to achieve it. Gotta be the next skipper.

Last quarter handball to Lovett who ran to the 50 and missed was one of the best pieces of clearance work I've seen in 25 years of watching football.

My fave Watto moment tonight was the pass (think to monfries) in the 2nd quarter when he did everything except pluck and throw the grass into the air.

Stepped up to a new level .... *sigh* but didn't even get mentioned in Buckley's school yard footy article on Sat.

And what is suprising - has not even played 100 games yet! Usually a benchmark for entering the elite as a midfielder.

Cheers - STI

24, Jazz.

I would even go so far as to say that he is becoming the spiritual leader of the club. When the pressure is on he is the one they turn to for a level head. He has leadership written all over him.

Did we have any idea just how good this boy was going to get? Lets hope HE has kids, and has at least one son.

Watto has copped a lot of shit in this here forum in the past, and in the media - it's always great to see him have a big one.

Should poll 6 votes against the ladder leaders this year. He controlled the midfield today and his disposal was fantastic (only 1 mistake). He gets so many clearances and creates alot of time and space for his teammates.

That utter scumbag Greg Williams used to get shitloads of votes playing exactly how Jobe does. What amazes me is that Greg Williams took Jobe under his wing as a personal trainer....

Watson, Prismall and Winderlich has the potential to be an AFL top 3 starting midfield trio

But then you have the likes of Reimers, Lonergan, Dyson, Welsh, Stanton and McVeigh to provide quality and depth in support

Add to this the potential of Atkinson, Houli, Quinn, Zaharakis and Hocking and its not hard to see why 3 out of every 5 AFL supporters believe we are a Top 4 candidate in 2010

The key words to this year have been pace and depth. Plenty has been written about our speed. This time last year we could barley scrape a team together. This year even with the liklihood of 3 major outs, we still have players we can draw from who all have seniors experience. The comments above give great confidence for the future.
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

Spot on. When he had his injury a few eeks back, we were as flat as a tack with no spirit. When he is playing well, the team plays well. MUST be next captain.
