Last hurrah for the great man?

Post by Sismis »

Tomorrow could be the last time Lloydy lines up for us, even if we win it could be the last time he plays in Melbourne. Let's really get behind him tommorow and show him our gratitude for all he has done for this club!

Come on Lloydy kick us a bag! =D>

He would have announced it by now if he was going to finish up this year

I think the only question is whether or not he will be captain next year.... I say no

I want 2010 to be his last season.

He has so much to offer our young forwards, and if he relinquishes the burden of captaincy it will free him up to focus on doing what he does best, kicking goals.

Yeah its true.., the body is slowing down for him, but I believe he will still provide great value next year.

That being said, its his call.

Whatever he decides we should and will support him.

Have a great one tomorrow Lloydy!!!

This is the biggest 'Captain's Game' of his captaincy.

Come on Lloydy.

He wouldn't have announced if this was his last game, because he doesn't know.
He already said he will decide once the season is over.

If this is the end of the road (which I doubt) That bump at the beginning of the 3rd Quarter today was immense and I thought a big part on us coming back into it.

His bump was inspirational and signified our intent for the second half. The rest of his game was miserable.

Will probably go one more season but probably shouldnt

It may depend on how many weeks Lloydy gets for that bump... i dont want his career to finish on that note though, i still think 2010 should be Lloydys last hurrah.

I wonder if the tribunal decision could have a big bearing on his decision whether to go on.
If they go totally beserk and give him 6 weeks or something (like they did to TD after the 1990 GF), then maybe he will be tempted to stay stuff it I'll just retire. Wouldn't blame him if he did.

I'd like to see him play 2010 as non captain. Focus on the ball, no extraneous responsibility except as elder statesman.

I'd hate for Lloydy to go out on that game being his last. I wouldn't want him to be remembered for that incident in his last game.

if he doesn't appeal, does that mean he's thinking of going on in 2010? cause if he is planning on retiring this year why not appeal?

My thoughts exactly. Knighta has stsed that it is his decision and I have little doubt he would want to end such a fabulous career while suspended.
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark
