The only criteria is that you are under 21 at the start of the year and have played 10 games or less.

I think if we play 1 final then (and he plays every game between now and then) he will finish the year with 9 games, and will be younger than 21 at the start of next year, thus making him eligible.

Just long enough to keep him away from the clutches of the Gold Coast and West Sydney and their fat purses.

Absolute star. Best recruit we've had in years. A ready made player at both ends of the ground. Unbelievable.

I've still got an erection.

Yep 100% agree... the only dilemma is which end of the field to play him. At the moment he is our most dangerous forward. Considering that Fletch is playing on next season and we have Pears and Hooker that can play back... i would keep Hurls in the forward 50 for the time being.

Best recruit I have ever seen us draft! I was so shocked at his tricks. I like him as a forward now!! But least we have the option of down forward or back. ****** love him! New favourite player!

Both ends. Plays in the first half up forward, kicks 6 goals, then spends the second half defending his lead.

Now we know what it is like for Geelong, Hawthorn and Brisbane whose 1st-round pick ups are stars immediately.

How about the left foot goal from 50 out?
He kicks on the left

This amazing emergence of Hurls as a forward will do wonders for Scotty Gumbleton next season... he can simply focus on getting back into playing footy without the pressure of slotting straight into our forward line.

Knights was on radion a couple of weeks back and was talking about Hurley. He said in pre-season, they separated the groups into 1st and second year players, 3-7 and 8+ or something like that and did skills training. Knights was with the older players and they were all just looking and watching this kid in his first WEEK just boot the ball 55m on either foot and hit targets.
