delist /retire-minimum of three

Post by chummy »

This is the last chance to really improve the list through the draft for the next two or three seasons,it will be a long time between drinks so who goes, minimum of three

Lucas /retired

Nash was overlooked for most of the season ,Quinn was preferred for elimination final.

Skipworth overlooked for second half of season, got a game in elimination final as the choice of himself or Jetta.

Jetta had a terrible year, is a high draft choice physically doesn't look big enough,i would think they might try to trade maybe a third or fourth round draft choice,Sheeds will make Harvey take him.

John Williams i don't no much about this guy but he does have a history of shoulder injuries and it might be to late in three years time.

Lloyd. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

any way looked at the list couldn't see to many other options which is a good thing ,thoughts. ???????

If you trade for a draft pick, or another player, you will have to delist another player on top of the one you traded,to make room on the list for the player coming in.

That depends on how many draft picks we plan on using.

Yes, so we need to delist a minimum of three players, and to that extent, your theory is correct. Beyond that, and it depends on how many draft picks we intend to use.

I reckon we get rid of Quinn, Lucas (retired) Williams and Nash.

Quinn isn't going to make it, Williams has done nothing, and Nash doesn't appear to be part of our plans.

yeah get rid of quinn who has been playing the game barely 12 months..... are we going to give all our players that much time to come good?

draftees get 2 years minimum, and most of them have been playing footy since they could walk....

yet another humble pie gringo will be eating soon enough, when will you learn?

Marty Clarke is a better size than Quinn, has been playing the game longer and isn't in Collingwood's best 22.

Quinn aint going to make it.

Excellent point. He is exactly the type of player you want on the rookie list. Obviously works hard.

Quinn will be kept as a second year rookie (along with Bock probably)

Lucas, Nash and Williams are probably the three to go and there will be some question marks on Skippy, Jetta and of course Lloyd.

he's rookie listede Dyson, is a 2nd year rookie, so he either needs to be promoted to the senior list or given the chop. The latter is most likely, think he has been injured a lot of this year, so simply has not been able to show whether he is good enough to be promoted to the senior list or not.
